The SFF desktop computers developed and produced by NEC Computers in France, have been rapidly spreading in the establishments in Turkey too, after Europe. The NEC SFF Desktop PC, with its dimensions of 90 mm height, 342 mm depth and 305 mm width, is much smaller than its competitors. Its quiet operation and low consumption of power gives it great advantage in the institutional market. According to the information gained from Nilay Özleyen, a representative of Özel Information Technologies A.Ş. which is the distributor of Nec Computers in Turkey, the NEC SFF Desktop PC is usually preferred by the banking sector because of the smallness of the area needed per person and the high cost of this area. “NEC SFF Desktop PC, which can operate without noise in crowded and narrow environments and which takes very little space, has a special design which allows for upgrades, maintenance, repair and technical service operations to be carried out very easily” said Nilay ÖZLEYEN. She stressed the fact that the technical features of the product passed all kinds of tests with success. She pointed out that the price of the product is very competitive and claimed that in the near future it will be well known in the SME market because of its elegant design, its not breaking down easily and low consumption of energy.
